Two 16-year-old boys were killed and two others seriously injured when a car left Railway Parade and struck trees in Bullsbrook late on Saturday night.
Police say a grey BMW 3 Series sedan was travelling north on Railway Parade about 10.20pm on 31 October when it left the roadway and hit several trees near the Twin Swamps Nature Reserve. The 16-year-old driver and a 16-year-old male passenger died at the scene. Two 17-year-old male passengers were taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries and remained in a serious condition on Sunday.
Witnesses reported the car catching fire shortly after the crash. The vehicle was later removed from the scene. Railway Parade and Warbrook Road were closed overnight while Major Crash Investigation Section officers examined the site, with the road reopening early Sunday morning.
Investigators are examining the circumstances of the single-vehicle crash. They have appealed for anyone who saw the BMW before the incident, or who holds dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone footage, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online. Footage can also be uploaded directly to police through the public evidence portal.
Police have not released the names of those involved. The investigation is continuing.
