Dayton Café Builds Community-Cast Breakfast Panel Show for FIFA World Cup

Smashed Society creates a full matchday dine-in experience and invites Dayton residents to become part of its live community panel show for the biggest tournament in the world.

DAYTON, WA:
Smashed Society, the new café at the heart of Dayton Central, is going beyond the screen for FIFA World Cup 2026, creating a full matchday experience for the community, from a custom tournament menu to a community-cast panel show open to anyone who wants to be on camera.
Starting 11 June, the café is launching a community-cast breakfast panel show to run alongside early morning World Cup matches through to the final on 19 July.
Smashed Society is also introducing a FIFA-exclusive dine-in menu available only during match times, designed for every kind of match morning, whether you are watching alone, with a partner, or with the whole family.
“We wanted to create something that felt like a proper event, every single match morning,” said Shivin Bhatia, owner and Managing Director of Smashed Society. “The panel show is the entertainment.
The menu is the reason to sit down and stay. You do not need to be a football expert to enjoy it. You just need to be hungry and up early.”

A World Cup Built for Perth’s Morning Routine
With the 2026 FIFA World Cup hosted across the United States, Canada and Mexico, the bulk of group stage matches will kick off between 4am and 10am Perth time (AWST, UTC+8), a rare and fortunate alignment between a major global tournament and an Australian city’s morning schedule.
Smashed Society opens at 6am and will broadcast selected Group Stage and knockout matches on its large widescreen, accompanied by a rotating panel of local guests offering commentary, predictions and post-match analysis in a relaxed, community-first format.

“Perth is genuinely one of the best time zones in the world for this tournament,” Shivin added. “We wanted to make the most of that rather than let it pass quietly.”

Locals Wanted On Camera
The café is actively recruiting residents in Dayton and surrounding suburbs from all backgrounds to appear as panel guests: football fans, community figures, families, and newcomers to the suburb alike.
Participants will join the live panel for a selected match morning, share their perspective on the game, and enjoy complimentary breakfast as part of the experience.

There is no audition process. Smashed Society is simply looking for genuine community voices. Applications are now open.
